Installing any app may require specific 'permissions' to function properly, and InspectARide is no exception. The InspectARide app requires 'permission' to your Photos and Camera so that you can take pictures in the app and have them added directly to reports. It also requests 'permission' to access your device's data so that you can access the cloud when needed with your data connection.
How you access permissions for an app varies based on the device you are on. The steps below may not be the exact way your device works, but they should give you a good path to follow that will allow you to get to the right spot.
iPhone/iPad
- First, open the 'Settings' app on your device.
-
Now, scroll down on this screen until you get to the section with your installed apps and find the InspectARide app. On an iPhone, it will look similar to the screenshots below. On an iPad, you will want to scroll down on the left-hand side of the screen. Tap on 'InspectARide' in the list.
-
This will bring up the permissions for the InspectARide app. Make sure all permissions are set to 'ON' as shown below.
Android Phone/Tablet
- First, open the 'Settings' app on your device.
-
Scroll down until you see 'Applications' or 'Application Manager'. Tap on this to open it.
-
Tap on 'Application Manager'. If you are already in 'Application Manager' move to step 4.
-
Scroll down the list of apps until you find InspectARide and tap on it.
-
This will bring up information and settings for the InspectARide app. If you scroll down, you will see the Permissions section where you can adjust them to ensure InspectARide has the needed permissions.
