Instructions
Each inspection that you start requires a unique name. You can type the name in each time or have the app automatically create a name based on a pre-set naming convention of your choice. This document walks through how to set up the automatic naming of files.
- The first step is to log in to the InspectARide portal by entering your username and password here: https://www.inspectaride.com/login.
- Once logged in, go to 'Settings'.
-
Here we have a list of available settings. Scroll down to the 'File Naming' section. Automatic naming is turned on by default.
-
Here you have the option to configure how the Inspection is automatically named, with the ability to insert tags that will fill in with Inspection data.
-
The "Preview" box shows an example of how tags will be filled in using a sample Inspection.
- The final option is for 'Inspector Can Change'. If this option is OFF, the inspector will not have the option of changing the inspection name. If this option is ON, then the file will still automatically be given a name, but the inspector will have the option to change it if they want.
