Inspections can sometimes be part of larger processes, and when that's the case, it can be helpful to assign an Inspection different statuses to track where that process is at. InspectARide makes it easy to update inspection statuses.
Conversely, you may not need to use Inspection Status and wish to hide that column. This article will help you with that too!
Default Inspection Statuses
The following are the default inspection statuses for your account, to be used as needed. Note that these can be customized, as mentioned in the Final Notes section (link).
- Created: The Inspection has been uploaded from a mobile device
- Sent: The Inspection has been sent to the intended recipients
- Invoiced: The customer has received an Invoice for the work completed
- Completed: All necessary processes have been completed for this Inspection
- Unknown: Used for historic inspections to indicate that the current status isn't known
See/Hide Inspection Status
- On the Inspections page (link), tap the gear icon on the upper-right side of the Inspections table:
- This will bring up the list of available columns to show on this page. If you would like Inspection Status to show, make sure that the box next to "Status" is checked. If not, make sure it's not checked.
Note the envelope Icon next to "Status". If you would like custom Inspection Statuses for your account, simply click that icon to initiate an email to support@inspectaride.com containing your list of requested statuses, and we'll start the conversation! This customization is provided at no additional charge.
- When adding or removing columns from the Inspections page, it may take one or two rounds to achieve the exact view you're looking for. If your view seems too crowded, we recommend intentionally prioritizing columns and removing those that you don't consistently need.
Change Inspection Status
Although historic inspections will show a status of "Unknown", all new Inspections should show the status of "Created". This indicates that the Inspection was uploaded from a Device, and will remain in this status until you change it. If you do change the status and then re-upload the Inspection, it will retain the updated status
- With Inspection Status showing on the Inspections page, you simply need to click on the current status to bring up the Status options:
- Select the correct status from that list.
- See that the new status shows in the table!
Search By Status
Searching by status is just like searching for anything else! Just use the handy Search box at the upper right-hand corner of the Inspections table and enter the status you're looking for.
Note that if you've just updated the status, you may need to refresh the page for the inspection to display the new status in this search.
Final Notes
Pretty simple, right? That's the idea!
